They did help me in several things, at least, I slightly know what should I expect,
or maybe not ?
First, I watched "May Queen", a Korean drama, which has 38 episodes, it is quite long and honestly that drama, I wouldn't recommend it as I guess not many people will watch such a quite long and 'slow' drama...
What makes that drama different is...the heroine is a welder. A girl, being a welder, it is pretty interesting, huh ?
The word, 'weld' is not that strange to me as I've heard it a lot when I was at college.
But then, I never did any kinda "welding" yet as I didn't took mechanical course during college, I took civil course...
I remember seeing my roommate's eyes were red in color all day because that was the first time she ever did welding, but for her...it's alright. She'd been wanting to do that welding since the first place and she told me that before...but I, that time I had no idea what welding is...
The hero of that drama is an engineer who designs ships. He took Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering during his study at oversea...
At first, I expected that this drama would show a lot of thing regarding his job as I'm interested to know more about it, but then, well...it's not. That's why I will not recommend this drama.
It is just, at least you can see pretty much of some tools or some designs...and what made me watch this drama until finish because it is actually about ships...well, shipbuilding, ship company, and...I never heard the word thruster and I had no idea what it was, but then, now I know, thanks to this drama...
Before anything else, please don't expect much if you're about to watch the drama as there're a lot of families' problems and...urghh....I don't really like it that way...
The drama is about a girl, who has to study in Technical High School, called Asuko due to her mistakes when taking the exam. Well, actually, I think maybe it will be better if I can compare the Technical School in that drama and in my country, but then, I didn't study at Technical School...
Still, I studied at Technical College...
When she first enters the school, she feels pretty bad about being the only girl in her class, and at first, in her batch, there're 3 girls, but one girl transfers to another school... = ="
This drama does has side stories...but then it never forgets to still include that 'technical' things...
I really enjoyed the drama as, well, you know, sometimes, I could really 'feel' that girl's feelings.
In this drama, the girl has to use a lot of tools, machines and all that...and she doesn't have any ideas about them at first...you know, when you don't really wanna learn about something but you have no other choices, what else can you do ?
It reminds me the first time I went to study at Technical College, I chose it because I didn't have any other choices...TESL or Technical...I'm glad now that I chose Technical because of several reasons.
After a few months of study at Asuko, that girl starts to love doing what she's doing and decides to stay at Asuko...and blablabla...you have to watch it yourself. I don't wanna write other spoilers...
I highly recommend this drama if you're interested in knowing how it is to be a girl who studies technical things...
I can't deny it myself, it's quite tough but enjoyable at the same time.
Hmm...but actually, the ending is not that great...I really don't like it.
My favorite character will be Takeuchi Kazuya and I hope you'll like him too if you watch that drama.
